In other news, MediaDailyNews reported on new data from ABI showing the worldwide pay-TV subscriber base will grow to 1.1 billion subscribers in 2019. Also growing is the connected TV device market, according to Rapid TV News, which shared that by 2017 there will be 204 million connected TV devices linked to the Internet, more than double the projected number of US Internet households.
Finally, CableFAX discussed research by The Diffusion Group revealing more than 8 in 10 adult broadband users are unfamiliar with 4K.
